This follows a detailed financial review which confirmed the charity can no longer operate sustainably. Causeway has notified the Home Office and is working closely with The Salvation Army to ensure safe continuity of support for all service users during the transition. We are working pro-actively to contact all stakeholders, supporters and suppliers and notify them of our circumstances. Operational services are expected to close by the end of June 2026. A spokesperson said: “This was an extremely difficult decision, but our priority is the safety and wellbeing of the people we support and our colleagues. By having a managed closure, we can focus on ensuring a safe, managed transition for everyone during this period. “All employees affected are being supported and we ask for your consideration and kindness at this difficult time. Any service users affected will be notified by their advocate.
